Pharmaco-energetics and Aroma-prevention: Keys to Our Aromatic Future

Gabriel Mojay shares with participants a therapeutic understanding of aromatic plant extracts, volatile and aqueous, which is at once pharmacological and bioenergetic, evidence-based and empirical. Gabriel focuses on this combined scientific-TCM interpretation of aromatic and herbal activities with special reference to the antimutagenic, neuroprotective and anticancer properties of aromatic herbs and their essential oils in particular, including Salvia, (Rosmarinus), Matricaria and Santalum.

While scientific medicine seeks to develop chemopreventive compounds to prevent carcinogenesis, phytomedicines offer a far greater degree of both efficacy and safety in terms of cancer prevention, and offer a “phytopreventive” as well as “aromapreventive” alternative to conventional chemoprevention. In summary, the pharmaco-energetic understanding of essential oils and aromatic herbal medicines together with applying in clinical practice their profound phytopreventive properties are vital keys to the future of clinical aromatherapy and aromatic herbalism.
