Introduction to Gemmotherapy
This lecture will examine the use of Gemmotherapy for healing as a complementary medicine modality to Aromatherapy. Gemmotherapy is a European botanical medicine system focused on the use of buds and shoots to provide safe and gentle biotherapeutic detoxification and healing. We will explore the main Gemmotherapy remedies and their indications and applications.
Dr. Les Moore practices naturopathic medicine and acupuncture in the Finger Lakes region of New York. He was the Director of Integrative Medicine at Clifton Springs Hospital for twelve years and practiced prior to that at FF Thompson Hospital. He has written books on naturopathic medicine, homeopathy, botanical medicine, and hydrotherapy, to name a few.
Dr. Moore has received a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine and a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon, where he first did a deep dive into the aromatherapeutics of European Biological Medicine. He is also a Diplomate of the Homeopathic Academy of Naturopathic Medicine and a Registered Herbalist of the American Herbalists Guild. He provides pastoral counseling and pastors Wellspring Church in Clifton Springs, New York, and has received a Master of Applied Theology and a three-year Graduate Certificate in Pastoral Care and Counseling from Marylhurst University and has received a Doctor of Ministry in Applied Theology.
